AOA brings together a map of places (bookstores, coworking spaces, coffee shops, bars), events with tickets and live rooms. Come to a place, tap your phone on the NFC sticker, and you are in that place’s room: you can see who is here right now and open to a chat. Send a honk. The rest happens offline.

No. AOA is about people with shared interests nearby: networking, new friends, communities and live events. Professional contacts, friendship or just a good conversation: it’s up to you.

The basic features are free. AOA works in the browser or through a Telegram bot, with no separate app. An account takes a minute to create with Google, Apple or Passkeys and then saves time: faster sign-up for events, tickets and your profile in one place, no forms every time.

Only people who are physically in the same place right now and have joined the same room can see you. At an event, only those who checked in are visible. Outside the place or event you are not visible, and nobody can find you through search.

It happens. It would be dishonest to promise that someone will always be there. But the place is good and so is the coffee. And if you don’t want to rely on chance, Premium matches you with meetings based on your interests.

That’s exactly why there is honk. No need to walk up blindly: it’s a quiet signal of interest. If it’s mutual, you already have a reason to talk.

At an event you check in, and the room of that event’s guests opens. You see those already inside and can send a honk. NFC is only needed in places outside events.

There is Premium. Every day we send one meeting suggestion: a person with shared interests at a partner place. You both confirm, and the table is booked automatically, with a treat from the place.
