If you didn't get to meet
You had a mutual honk but didn't get to meet? Send a request to support: we'll ask the person, and you'll get their contact only with their explicit consent.
Sometimes you just miss each other
The mutual honk happened, but the person had already left, there wasn't enough time to talk or you never managed to walk over. You can try to get back in touch through AOA support.
How to send a request
- Message AOA Support or tap "Message an operator" in the AOA bot's help
- Tell us which room it was, when it happened and who you'd like to reach: the name from their profile is enough
- We'll check that the honk was mutual, and the AOA bot will message that person
Contact only with explicit consent
The person gets a Telegram message saying who is looking for them and in which room the mutual honk happened. Below it are two buttons, "Share" and "No, thanks". We pass on their username only after they tap "Share", and only to you.
- Consent: the bot will send you their Telegram username along with their name, so it's clear who is who
- Refusal: the bot will tell you that too, gently and without details. We don't ask that person again
- Each answer arrives as a separate message as soon as the person replies
What you need for this to work
Replies are sent by the AOA bot, so you need a linked Telegram account and an open chat with the bot. You can only send a request about people you had a mutual honk with, and only if neither of you has blocked the other.
