Help center/For event organizers/For hosts: a guest came without a ticket

For hosts: a guest came without a ticket

How to register a guest without a ticket with the "+" button on the check-in screen: what to fill in, how to record cash and how the organizer sees it in the report after the event.

The "+" button

At the bottom right of the check-in screen there's a round "+" button. It's for registering someone who came without registering, including someone who pays cash on the spot.

What to fill in

  • Name: required. That's how the guest will be found in the list later.
  • Cash amount: if you took money. You can leave it empty: then it's free entry.
  • Ticket type: if the event has several.
  • Phone and answers to questions: behind the "Add phone and answers" button. Fill them in only if the guest dictates them themselves.

After "Register and let in", the person is counted right away: you don't need to check them in separately.

About money

The amount is recorded together with who exactly received it. This isn't bureaucracy: after the event the organizer reconciles cash by person, and a line without a name turns the reconciliation into guesswork.

So: took the money, entered the amount right away. Not "I'll remember and add it later".

If the guest pays by card or transfer, that's not your route. Let them register themselves through the quick-registration QR, where payment goes through properly.

What the organizer sees

In the report after the event, these guests are shown separately: how many people walked in "off the street" and how much cash was collected. That's why it matters not to forget the amount, otherwise the total will say "came, paid 0".
