Age verification and Diia.Sign

How to set an age limit for an event, turn on adults-only mode, verify identity with Diia.Sign, approve applications manually and add your own form questions.

When you need verification

For 18+ events, events with a specific audience or formats that require attendees' identity, AOA offers three levels of control.

Age limit

In the event settings you can set a minimum attendee age. Accounts younger than that age won't be able to register.

Verification: adults only

A separate "Adults-only event" toggle turns on stricter verification: the attendee has to confirm they're 18+ before a ticket is issued. It's used for events where the law requires attendees to be adults.

Verification with Diia.Sign

AOA is integrated with the government service Diia.Sign. The "Required age verification via Diia.Sign" toggle requires the attendee to go through full identity verification in the Diia app before getting a ticket.

  • It confirms the real person, their name and age from the government registry
  • It rules out registration with fake accounts
  • It works right on the platform: the attendee signs the request in the Diia app

Manual approval (require approval)

Regardless of age and Diia, you can turn on required registration approval: each attendee's registration first gets the "pending" status, and you as the organizer approve or reject it manually. It's a separate mechanism that works well with formats like Speed Dating or small events.

Custom registration questions

You can add your own fields to the registration form: for example, a Telegram contact, a company, a social media link or a yes/no answer. Fields can be required or optional.
