AOA Connect: a daily meetup match

What AOA Connect is

AOA Connect is a Premium subscription feature that sends you one meetup suggestion a day: a person or a group with shared interests, at a partner venue. It isn't algorithmic matchmaking for chatting. It's a planned offline meetup with a confirmed booking.

How it differs from regular venue rooms: a room is a spontaneous meeting (you walk in, look around, send a honk). A match is planned for tomorrow, with a curator, a table and a time.

How to turn it on

1. Get a Premium subscription (weekly or monthly)
2. Turn on AOA Connect in your profile and pick a format: 1-on-1 or a table for 4
3. Fill in your interests and preferred time windows (morning, lunch, evening)
4. Every morning you get one suggestion in the app and in Telegram

The algorithm learns from where you go and who you interact with, not from questionnaire checkboxes. The longer you use AOA, the more accurate your matches get.

Two meetup formats

1-on-1: a meetup for two

The classic format: one match based on shared interests. It suits you when you want a deep one-on-one conversation without the noise of a group. The venue books a table for two at the time you chose.

Table for 4: a group around a topic

Three other matches who share a topic (Product, Design, Music, Tech). Less pressure and easier to talk: the conversation keeps going because someone always picks it up. The venue sets a table for four.

You can change the format in your profile at any time. The algorithm takes your preference into account for the next match.

Optional quiet-hour perks

A match can happen at any time the venue is open: you see several suggested slots and pick the one that suits you. Separately, a venue can mark some hours as quiet (a low-traffic period when it wants to bring in guests) and add a perk to them.

If you pick a quiet-hour slot, the suggestion comes with a perk from the venue:

• 50% off your second drink
• A dessert with a main course
• A free drink upgrade (filter to flat white, for example)
• A set for two at a fixed price

It isn't a gift, it's a mechanic that encourages ordering. For you, it means a better bill and a reason to order together. If you pick a regular slot outside quiet hours, the match still works, just without a perk.

Confirming the meetup

20 minutes before the meetup, both people (or all four for a table for 4) get a push notification with a "Confirm" button. Only after everyone confirms is the table booked automatically, and you get the address and table number.

If someone doesn't confirm, the meetup doesn't happen and nobody is charged a "cancellation".

Rescheduling without a penalty

Once per subscription period you can reschedule a meetup with no consequences: tap "Reschedule" at least 4 hours before the meetup. The algorithm will suggest the next slot in the same week. This is for normal life situations (emergencies, work, health).

Cancellation rules and disqualification

We take matching seriously and guarantee meetups for the people who show up. That's why the rules are clear:

• 1-2 cancellations: a warning. We send a reminder that the other person is counting on you
• 3 cancellations in a row: a temporary disqualification from the Match program. Your Plus subscription stays active (the venue map, rooms, discounts), but daily matches stop for 14 days
• A repeat disqualification: a longer suspension, reviewed by the support team

"Cancellations in a row" only count meetups the other person confirmed. If you tapped "Reschedule" in time, it isn't a cancellation.

What Plus gives you besides Match

• You see how many guests are in venue rooms and what they're there for (open to meeting people, looking for company, networking)
• Quiet-hour discounts at partner venues, even without an active match
• Priority in rooms: your profile appears higher in the guest list

How much it costs

Premium costs 249 UAH / week or 500 UAH / month. No discounts, no trial traps. You can cancel at any time in your settings. Details are on the pricing page.

AOA Connect is in beta right now: we're carefully growing the network of partner venues and calibrating the algorithm. The number of slots depends on how many partners there are in your city.
